Shining brighter than the stars and the sun

I found my peace! :) It's not about me, my wants, my likes, my desires, my hurts..its all about God. In the end he has my best interest at heart! He loves me for me and wants only the best. Who am i to tell Him what I think is best? Ridicoulous! Letting go & Letting God!
Proverbs 4 says:
vs.18-"But the path of the just is liek the shining sun that shines ever brighter unto perfect day."
When we asked God into our hearts and lives a match was lit in our hearts. Have we ignited a forest with that flame, is it dimmed or slowly fading out? When we walk closer to God that flame grows brighter! We will grow, give grace, forgivness and love to others, jsut as Jesus does for us. As we walk hand in hand we become just like Jesus, we look more and more liek him. When our light shines brighter our life shines brighter. Lord where you lead i want to follow.
vs. 11-"I have led you in the right paths.."
We are not to astray from the path God paved for us, He has chosen and made it safe.
We aren't called to give in to wicked ways, they seek to hurt others so they can pride themselves on it. Nor are we supposed to "give them what they deserve"
We give them grace, forgivness and love them liek Jesus.
Daniel 12;3 says: "Those who are wise shall shine liek the brightness fo the firnament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever."
When we walk hand in hadn with God and come to understnad His will for our life, we will shine our light brighter than the sun and the stars.

Trusting & Loyalty- Proverbs 3

Well, yesterday this was my quiet time and coincendtentally enough i was faced with a situation. It wasn't easy, i think it was a test and im not sure how i measured up to God. But i can say i let go of my desires and wants to not hurt a friend. I felt so selfish and basically watched a friend hurt because of a choice i wanted to make. so i bottle up my feelings and selfishness and did the right thing. I was loyal, even when it was hard! I don't feel peace mainly because my selfish pride didn't get what she wanted, but i decided to put someone else above me. I beleive God will honor my promise, because He hasn't let go of me or broke his promise to me.
Proverbs 3 says:
vs. 5-"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
When we trust in God and seek His path for us, we will have peace in our hearts.
vs.1-" My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; for the length of days and long life and peace they will add to you."Good people usually make good friendships. In a great friendship loyalty is the foundation. We usually treasure friendships with people who stuck with us when the going got tough. Loyalty means your committed when its tough. You look past little things and forgive, forgive, forgive. You go the extra mile. People will see your loyalty and admire you.
Proverbs 17:17- "A friend loves at all times, a brother is born for adversity."
Proverbs 18:24- "A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.'
Proverbs 27:5- "Open rebuke is better than love carefully concealed."
A person who finds wisdom and gains understanding is more profitable than the riches of the earth. We are more precious "than rubies." Friendships are valuable, but at times your going to fight with one another, love one another, things happen. But God is always there! He sticks closer to us than a best friend.
vs. 26 "For the Lord will be your confidence..."
When we life a Godly life he promises us two things:
1) He will lead us to the right path
He will show us what we are supposed to do with our life, the stops and gos, turns and slows. He's the ultimate stoplight!
2)He will clear our path of obstacles
He will fill in the holes, smooth the rough edges, so we dont trip up.
At the end of the day he knows our next step, we don't. we have to completely trust in Him and walk hand in hand. Friendships comes with being loyal..ever heard "To have a friend one must be a friend?" You don't let go when they wrong you, you forgive and hold on to them, show them Christ love through you. Don't give up on the ones who need you the most. For we are the most precious treasure when we hold on when all the world lets go. Keep holding on to Him and his children, they need Godly friends to uplift and love them like he loves them.

Blessing Advice-Proverbs 2

Today has been a good day. I just feel like God has made me more alive! I'm no longer just doing the motions and wondering how i can have a closer relationship with Him. I'm making it happen, it's so real to me for the first time. Ultimately i view him as my Lord & Saivour, but now i see Him as my friend, my daddy, and my first true love :)
Proverb 2 says:
Who do we search for advice from? When we get the advice can we truly discern if it is good or bad? The Lord says that if we seek Him, He will give us the wisdom and knowlede, and common sense we need. All we have to do is ask, becauase He is the only one who truly can help us. He takes care of us and shields us from the evil's of the world. Once we listen to God and actually open our ears to hear wisdom, we can have understanding. When we truly understand ful heartedly we will be able to discern advice, and see temptations clearly. Listenign to God lets us gain and appreciate knowledge, we learn to understand and therefore we are wise. We will be wise in our actions, thoughts and judgements. Not only are we wise when we listen to God but we are blesed. Luke 11:28 says-But He said," More than that blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it." We are obedient when we listen, and therefore blessed to be obedient. God's blessing will pour down on us when we are obedient unto Him. We have to:
1)Listen to God
2)Read God's word
3)And Obey it!
When we seek and obey Him first everything else falls into place. We are blessed in riches, fame, love, education, and friendships, and happiness when we obey God first. Were liek a "blessing magnet", most men and women in the bible who were blessed in any of these ways were walking hand in hand with God in obedience. 1 Samuel 15:22 "To obey is better than sacrifice."

True Wisdom-Proverbs 1

I'm starting a new page with me and God today! I'll always remember that Febuary 9, 2009 was the day i started the journey of walking hand in hand with God. I started fasting today, something the Lord placed on my heart, so that i'll leave worldy possessions alone for 31 days to follow after God's own heart completely. 31 days is a chapter each day in proverbs, i desire to grow closer to God and fall in love with my first true love all over again. To be lightened of my load, and shine "brighter than the stars in the sky"!
Proverbs 1 says:
We are to fear the Lord, because that is the beginning of knowledge. God has created a path or a storyline for our lives, we are supposed to trust Him and just keep walking that path. People who surcum to evil don't walk in God's path, they astray and try to convince us to do the same. Solomon tells us we are not to walk with them! Picture a boardwalk, like the one in Fernidina at Fort Clinch beach. That's the path God has set for us, if we were to be "adventerous" we'd try to jump off and make our own path, only to get scrapes and cuts from the cactus and weeds. It will cause blood shed much like the people following evil ways in the world. Were on unsafe journey by ourselves, but with God he's our shelter and protection. Solomon was known for his wisdom, people would travel all over to hear him speak. As christians we are to listen! A person who is wise will hear and increase his learning. We are called obey our parents.
We are wise when:
1)We hear and listen to God
2)Listen to and obey our parents
3)Not conforming to the world
Were just called to listen, to be still and know He is God.
Wisdom comes from listening!
To be wise we have to fear God, hear God, obey and listen!

Ammo & Grenades

who knew a book could speak so much to me!! I've learned a lot about myself through the eyes of Katie Weldon, I'm like her in a lot of ways. One in particular is harboring feelings in my heart, not letting them truly go. Through different hurts, I gave mentally forgiven the people but I realized I haven't heartedly. Some people in my past have hurt me and scarred my heart. It's kinds like I've been saving the hurts, like a " box of hand grenades in the corner." I hang onto them just in case, " for self defense". I either hide or have that storage of ammo saved up when I get too hurt by those closet to me. I realized I have to truly give this box to God to incenerate. Because he doesn't store up a box of ammo to throw at me each time I hurt him. No, he forgave me completely gave me a new start. And he wants me to do the same to his people. God knows my heart completely to the core, he knows this harboring I've had stored up. As Psalm 139:8 says "if I ascend into heaven, you are there; if u make my bed in hell, behold, You are there." I can't hide from God, I might be able to put on a mask and fool everyone including myself but not God. He knows what I think and feel. But he loves me, and he knows I'm not perfect and yet he still works on me and loves on me. As Jeremiah 23:23 says "Am I a God near at hand, says the Lord, And not a God afar off? Can anyone hide himself on secret places, so I shall not see him?" basically we can be deceitful in our own hearts as you read on in that chapter. I want what God wants I want to be free of the scars of the remembersnce of hurt, God take it away. Help me forgive completely just as you forgives me. Set them free set me free. As you wish, amen!

the ol' hinge theology

Goofy title I know, but it's interesting. In a book series I'm currently reading called " Katie Weldon series" a topic about God opening and closing doors came up. Katie Weldon is a college student who doesn't really know what she wants to be or major in. A job is offered to her an RA position for the girl dorm. When she discussed this with resident director she said " even though this is what I want to do, if Gid closed the door I'll understand it isn't Gods will for me." the resident advisor then said agh the ol' hinge theology meaning Gods will seems to hinge on which way the door of oppurtinity swings. He told her that God isn't limited to expressing himself through open or shut doors. So Katie then asked if it was presumptuous to limit God to opening or closing doors, then what's a better way to figure out what he wants when you have to make a big decision. So the RD without saying anything walked away from the door leaving Katie behind went and sat on the couch across the room and mouthed something to Katie. She couldn't hear her so Katie walked across the room to hear her answer. The RA explained that was a visual answer to what God wants from us, if we want to know what he has to say we have to follow him. If your waiting on the door and keep asking you won't hear him only until you get closer to him is when you can hear him. This was considered " hot on his heals" theology. Like when Jesus led the disciples for the three or so years they were together, from the outside their path was confusing but Jesus obviously had a plan. He saidhe accomplished everything the Father sent him to do. All the disciples had to do was follow hot on his heels and trust him. Like some of you I was all about waiting for God to open a door to make an opportunity come swinging my way to serve him or see what he wants for my life. This passage in the story just spoke to me, I can't wait by the door I have leave hope behind and follow the Lord and he'll show me more clearly. Be " hott on his heels". How can we ever really appreciate somone if we don't take the time to know them? Trust is the key in following theLord, knowing he knows the ending chapter and were only at the hook of the story.

Favorite Music Skits <3

I have two favorite music skits that just make me either cry or in awe. The first is probably everyones' favorite, as well known and that is the "Everything" skit by Lifehouse..if you haven't seen it here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyheJ480LYA Basically it brings me to tears, i love the music and the message. Because once upon a time i felt like the girl in the scene, im sure we've all been there. But my favorite part is the upbeat of the music when it starts "Cause your all i want, your all i need, your everything, everything......" and that is so true!
The second music skit i love is called "God is God".
I love this one because the fact we really don't know the ending picture, what is going to be made by God through us. The fact that he wants to use us even when we feel totally lost. He has a plan, and that plan will be carried out through us, and the ending is perfect!
